Extra Co-curricular Activities
Excellencia provides a spectrum of extracurricular activities that are determined by the skills and interests of our students, like dance, art, music, sports, etc. Clubs and House system promote these activities to boost students’ educational experiences, and social, emotional, and communication skills and allows students to gain experience and apply what they have learned.
Co-curricular activities are an important part of the learning experience and we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities including arts and sports for your child to participate in before, during, and after the school day.
Learning beyond the four walls (trips & excursions)
Excellencia believes that learning can happen anywhere. Hence a lot of importance is given to field trips, guest lectures, motivation talks, and so on.
Going on a field trip enhances their critical thinking skills and gives students a chance to think about a topic or theme from a different perspective. Academically enriching trips boost grades and reduce absenteeism and behavioral issues. Outside the classroom, students learn leadership skills, cooperation, social and self-management skills.
Competitions & Events
We know that inter-school and intra-school competitions help students maximize their potential. Through competitions, students can gain a better understanding of how to deal with conflicting opinions and ideas and learn to collaborate with widely differing personalities.
This helps them push their boundaries and force them to strive better.
Community Outreach
(visits to orphanage, old age homes, plantation & cleanliness drives, etc)
Community Outreach programs expose students to people who are at a disadvantage (socially, medically, economically, or otherwise) and help students realize they can make a difference.
They help develop awareness and a better understanding of the communities they live in. Hence community service is an integral part of a student’s life.
Outreach programs sensitize students towards their duties and responsibilities within the society and community. It also serves the citizenship training goal of education through the development of various skills like soft skills, leadership skills, and team-building skills. Students are a part of donation drives, and visits to orphanages and old age homes. Students organize tuck shops for charity and the proceeds are donated to the needy.
Global Outreach
Think global but act local – This is the dictum we follow at Excelelncia. MUN is one such platform where students learn about global issues related to SDGs and do their bit in their surroundings and local areas. One such example is the goal of Zero hunger taken up by the students through various activities like campaigning, donations, skits, and spreading awareness.
TED-Ed Student Talks Program
The TED-Ed Student Talks Program brings students together to discover, develop, and present their best ideas. During these gatherings, students may watch and debate TED talks, and explore and share their own and each other’s ideas.
SDG school in the making!
When students learn about SDG &and climate change across the curriculum, they see different parts of the problem and different ways to be part of the solution. They might consider sustainability in their planning and investigate a topic of practical relevance to their school or community, thus helping them to connect science to solving real-world problems.
Global Exchange virtual programs
Experience intercultural learning, meet peers around the world and become a Global Citizen from home!
Culturally Responsive Teaching
We engage students by connecting to and honing their cultures, experiences, and backgrounds by celebrating festivals and important National and International Days at school. Acknowledging and celebrating diversity fosters communication skills, confidence, and well-being—all of which are so important when building a culturally responsive learning community and preparing students for a multicultural world.
Birthday Celebrations at Excellencia are occasions for students to thank their parents and guardians for the gift of life, love, and care blessed upon them. The attitude of gratitude is instilled by enabling them to express their gratitude in the assembly on their special day
